The F.O. McCoy blade by Luxamed has a replaceable light guide that uses 5.500 fibres for very high brightness. It also has a long service life. Optimal illumination is guaranteed by a diameter of 4 mm. Due to its movable tip, the blade is especially well suited for difiicult intubations and reduces the risk of injury. The 3.7 V LED version of this blade reaches a brightness of approximately 10.500 Lux. The 2.5 V xenon variant has circa 4.500 Lux. The blade is made of stainless steel and can be used with all Luxamed handles in accordance with ISO 7376 (green standard). It is autoclavable up to 134 Degrees Celsius – circa 4.000 cycles. The McCoy blade is available in several different sizes.
